HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN SCHOOLS

Blind spots abound on a vehicle as large as a school bus, and as federal regulations have required school bus seats to be taller there’s been an unintended consequence. It’s created blind spots inside the bus by making it harder for cameras to see over the higher seat backs. The challenge for Hamilton Southeastern Schools was keeping students safe by finding a camera system that could capture every angle inside a school bus.

NOBLESVILLE SCHOOLS

Noblesville Schools was searching for a way to keep their students safe while taking the school bus. They were finding that there was a lot of vehicles that were not stopping for buses when their stop-arm was engaged. There are multiple accidents every year where children are struck by vehicles that don’t stop for a stop-arm, so the district wanted to deter future violations.

CALGARY HANDIBUS

The safety and comfort of passengers and drivers is a top priority for Calgary HandiBus, which is why they wanted tools in place to protect passengers and drivers from harassment, protect themselves from false liability claims, and ensure drivers could focus exclusively on the road while driving. They do a lot of pickups in alleys and operate in extreme hot and cold environments so equipment reliability is extremely important.

Cheatham County School District transportation department in Ashland City Tennessee uses Gatekeeper G4 video management software to manage its Gatekeeper school bus video systems. The County installed more than 141 Gatekeeper high definition cameras to monitor the interior of half of their fleet.

CLOVIS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

At Clovis Unified, as with many school bus fleets, transporting children safely and efficiently is a tough job when you consider one driver must focus on the road while responsible for the safety of up to 80 children. Bullying, vandalism, theft, and false liability claims are realities on school buses today and Clovis Unified wanted tools in place to combat these problems to protect students, drivers, and bus property.
