Gatekeeper’s Y724 mobile Digital Video Recorder incorporates the processing and recording of IP (1080p or 720p) high definition cameras. The Y724 supports the recording of 16 IP channels (video and audio) up to 1080p and up to 30 frames per second on all channels simultaneously. Note: Each video channel recording parameters can be configured independently. The Y724 can also increase up to 24 IP channels with the addition of an 8-port switch.

The Y724 DVR can be equipped with 2 – 4TB SSD (for total storage of 8TB Solid State Drives) in a single hot swappable removable drive caddy. The caddy comes with 2 slots configurable for continues recording across both drives.

The Y724 DVR supports storage in spinning hard drives or solid-state drive formats. It comes standard with a SD card slot to accommodate up to 256GB storage for optional mirror recording. The drive caddy is locked into position with a supplied key to prevent tampering, and a hard drive caddy can be placed in any vehicle. The video recorded from any bus or streetcar will have the parameters (frame rate, resolution, quality, number of video and audio channels, on screen display configuration, etc.) that the DVR in that vehicle was configured for.
