8 CHANNEL HIGH DEFINITION DVR

The Y58 is an 8 channel (6 AHD and 2 IP) hybrid DVR. Each AHD and IP channel supports up to 1080P and up to 30 FPS simultaneously with independently selectable resolutions and 8 quality levels. The Y58 supports H.265 / H.264 video compression. H.265 provides great video while producing 15% to 20% less data. That means longer record times.

The Y58 supports a single mechanical hard drive or SSD up to 4TB. The drive caddy is secured via a keyed lock and two thumb screws. When the key is moved to the unlock position, the DVR shuts down thus making it safe to remove the caddy.  After the caddy is reinserted, thumb screws tightened and the key turned to locked position, the DVR powers up and records.

BUILT RUGGED

The caddy incorporates a shock and vibration system to protect the hard drive. It has passed MIL SPEC 810F (Trucks on Streets) for shock and vibration. In addition, Gatekeeper has developed and subjected the Gatekeeper DVRs to custom shock and vibration profiles. These profiles were derived by placing sensors on vehicles, and recording the shock and vibration that actual DVRs were subjected to in real world conditions.

The caddy can be equipped with a 4TB Solid State Hard Drive.

The caddy contains an advanced thermal management system that heats up the hard drive to its prescribed operating temperature, before writing or reading data in cold weather.

FLEXIBLE WIFI

The DVR comes standard with Gatekeeper’s FlexFi (built-in WiFi). Utilizing WiFi 802.11 a/n/ac dual band at 2.4 GHz and 5GHz, Gatekeeper’s FlexFi can be configured to connect to an in-yard Access Point or act as an access point to allow DVR configuration using an Android tablet and Gatekeeper’s G4 Connect software.

DUAL STREAMING AND CELLULAR READY

The Y58 is dual streaming. This means a high quality full resolution image can be stored on the Caddy, while a lower resolution image can be streamed over the optional cellular connection.
