Gatekeeper Supplies Buses in Florida With In-Bus Video Connectivity to Law Enforcement
Abbotsford, BC – March 12, 2020 – Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (‘Gatekeeper’ or the ‘Company’) (TSX-V: GSI) (OTC: GKPRF) (FSE: 1GK) a leading provider of intelligent video solutions for public transport and smart cities, is pleased to announce that its intelligent high definition video platforms for school buses now facilitate seamless connectivity with law enforcement vehicles, allowing access to real-time video within a school bus to help determine appropriate course of action during crisis situations such as hostage or hijacking.
The Tactical Ready Kit is a portable unit which allows law enforcement personnel to obtain quick and easy display of the internal video and audio of a school bus in close proximity, even while in motion. This Smart City system solution is an example of Gatekeeper’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings which are centered around GPS-enabled intelligent video devices.
A Florida school district with a fleet of approximately 70 buses is the first customer to deploy this innovative solution, which includes digital video recorders, interior cameras, video analytics software and Tactical Ready Kits.
“School bus safety and passenger protection is our mission”, commented Doug Dyment, President and CEO. “This solution improves safety for both the schoolchildren as well as law enforcement personnel.”
