Gatekeeper Receives $530,000 in Contracts from Leading School Bus Contractor
Abbotsford, BC, September 18th, 2019 – Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (“Gatekeeper” or the “Company”) (TSX.V: GSI; OTC: GKPRF; FSE: 1GK), a leading provider of high definition video surveillance systems developed to protect people in transit, is pleased to announce it has received multiple purchase orders from one of the largest school bus contractors in North America.
The combined contracts total approximately CAD$530,000 and include multiple configurations of high definition cameras which add an additional layer of safety both inside and outside the buses. All equipment is expected to be delivered during the Company’s first fiscal quarter ending November 30, 2019.
Doug Dyment, CEO commented: “As a new school year begins, student safety in and around school buses is a top priority for school bus contractors across North America. Our technology records high definition video of activity inside and outside buses providing valuable information. This evidence protects people, trains drivers, addresses student misbehaviour and increases public awareness of the importance of stopping for school buses when stop-arms are engaged. In April, U.S. Representatives Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) and Julia Brownley (D-Calif.) introduced the bipartisan Stop for the School Buses Act (H.R. 2218) to review existing laws in all 50 U.S. states to prevent illegal school bus passing. Gatekeeper’s video solutions are well positioned to address these bus safety initiatives occurring throughout North America.”
