Abbotsford, BC – November 17, 2020 – Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (‘Gatekeeper’ or the ‘Company’) (TSX-V: GSI) (OTC: GKPRF) (FSE: 1GK) a leading provider of intelligent video solutions for public transport and smart cities, has commenced a national marketing campaign to raise awareness of how Intelligent Temperature Sensing Systems (ITSSTM) can help organizations with health monitoring and contact tracing. The marketing campaign has been designed to reach over 50,000 influencers and decision makers in school districts, universities, transit authorities and more.

Gatekeeper is also pleased to announce the appointment of Leanne Hudson as VP Operations. Leanne is a long-term employee of the Company with proven abilities in accounting, marketing, and operations. She has also been instrumental in guiding the ITSS launch and deployment. She combines solid financial discipline with strong customer service focus in her elevated role.

Doug Dyment, CEO of Gatekeeper, commented: “The early customers who have tested and installed our ITSS solution have provided very positive feedback, so we are now taking the steps to launch nationwide. I am delighted to welcome Leanne as our VP Operations. She has been a solid contributor to our success for several years and I am confident that she will help us advance this next level of growth. While we believe passenger health monitoring in public transportation is a North American growth trend that is only just beginning, we also need to be able to help our customers overcome their related installation and operational challenges on buses and trains. We have the team and systems in place to do that.”

Gatekeeper has significant industry experience in providing technology solutions for passenger buses, and has equipped more than 28,000 school buses, transit buses and trains with over 97,000 video devices and intelligent mobile data collectors, for over 3,500 customers throughout North America.

ITSS is a contactless system that can determine body temperature within 20 milliseconds using thermal cameras, artificial intelligence, and video analytics. Visual and audible alarms are triggered when temperature thresholds are exceeded. When passengers board a bus, the ITSS panel records body temperature with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 degree Celsius. The 7-inch ITSS panel is equipped with facial recognition capabilities to improve accuracy and allows customers to pursue future applications such as intelligent passenger routing, contact tracing, passenger counting, or payment verification. The panel records images within 40 milliseconds and has storage capacity of 50,000 facial images.
