St John’s Transportation Commission Chooses Gatekeeper Video Systems for their Transit Buses

Abbotsford, BC June 5th, 2017 – Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (“Gatekeeper” or the “Company”) (TSX.V: GSI; OTC: GKPRF; FSE: 1GK) is pleased to announce that its Transit Video Surveillance system is to be installed on all transit buses of the St. John’s Transportation Commission through HiTech Communications, who has been selected as the successful bidder on the Mobile Bus Camera Surveillance System tender which closed in early 2017.

The size of the contract which was awarded to Gatekeeper dealer partner, HiTech Communications, was $306,000 CDN.  A total of 55 vehicles including NOVA transit buses are to be outfitted with Gatekeeper’s eight camera system including integration of vehicle sensors.  Gatekeeper’s video management software will be used to manage incidents recorded by Gatekeeper’s digital video recorder.

Doug Dyment, President and CEO of Gatekeeper, commented, “We are thrilled that St John’s Transportation Commission chose our technology for their buses and we are excited to work with our regional partner, HiTech Communications, as we move to final approval of the equipment and execution of this project.  Our video platform for the transit market is gaining interest from some of the largest Transit Agencies across North America and we believe our solution is well positioned for legacy equipment as well as new buses.”
