FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gatekeeper Announces Completion of Defense Contract for its Viperfish® Airborne Digital Recording System

Abbotsford, BC March 18h, 2015 – Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (The “Company” or “Gatekeeper”) (TSX.V: GSI) is pleased to announce that it has completed a defense contract (the “Contract”), as previously announced on November 4, 2014, for the delivery and installation of Viperfish® airborne digital recording systems.

Pursuant to the Contract, Gatekeeper (through its division, Deep Development Corp.) has provided its Viperfish® airborne digital recorders and post-mission analysis software, for a total value of approximately USD $120,000.

The Viperfish® high-resolution digital recording platform meets various military specifications for operation in extreme environments.  Viperfish® digital recorders store long range sensor system information, such as infrared, video and radar, GPS coordinates, operator or mission identification, as well as on/off sensors such as weapons, sirens and emergency lights.  All data is synchronized with time and date and recording to solid-state storage drives designed into the Viperfish® recording system.  The Viperfish® digital video recorders come equipped with post-mission analysis software that allows operators to view recorded or live video with a complete integrated sensor package, providing a total operating picture while in the field or at command and control centers.

President and CEO Doug Dyment stated, “Delivery of the Viperfish® airborne recording platform represents almost 10 years of ongoing business with the United States Air Force Special Operations for use on the AC-130 Gunships.   The combination of the Viperfish® brand, along with XFORCE™ body-worn cameras and in-car video systems, provides Deep Development with an opportunity for significant growth within the North American Law Enforcement market”.  Dyment also added, “We are at the final stages of testing our XVAULT™ evidence management solution which provides our customers with back-end video management capability to secure and search critical information years after the incident.  Interest for this product is growing from law enforcement, school and university police, transit police, corrections and the general security personnel markets.”

About Viperfish®

Viperfish® recorders are currently in use on the United States Air Force AC-130 Gunships, Canadian Navy Sea King Helicopters, and French Navy marine vessels.  The AC-130 gunship is a heavily armed ground-attack aircraft variant of the C-130 Hercules transport plane. The basic airframe is manufactured by Lockheed, while Boeing is responsible for the conversion into a gunship and for aircraft support.[1] The AC-130A Gunship II superseded the AC-47 Gunship I during the Vietnam War.

The gunship’s sole user is the United States Air Force, which uses AC-130H Spectre, AC-130U Spooky, AC-130J Ghostrider, and AC-130W Stinger II[2] variants for close air support, air interdiction and force protection.  Close air support roles include supporting ground troops, escorting convoys, and flying urban operations.  Air interdiction missions are conducted against planned targets and targets of opportunity.  Force protection missions include defending air bases and other facilities.  AC-130Us are based at Hurlburt Field, Florida, while AC-130Hs and AC-130Ws are based at Cannon AFB, New Mexico.[3] The AC-130s deploy to bases worldwide in support of operations.  The gunship squadrons are part of the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), a component of the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM).[4]

All of the weaponry aboard is mounted to fire from the left (port) side of the non-pressurised aircraft. During an attack the gunship performs a pylon turn, flying in a large circle around the target, allowing it to fire at it far longer than a conventional attack aircraft. The AC-130H Spectre was armed with two 20 mm M61 Vulcan cannons, one Bofors 40mm autocannon, and one 105 mm M102 cannon; although after 1994 the 20 mm cannons were removed for most missions. The upgraded AC-130U “Spooky” has a single 25 mm GAU-12 Equalizer in place of the Spectre’s twin 20 mm cannons, an improved fire control system, and increased ammunition capacity. New AC-130J gunships based on MC-130J Combat Shadow II special operations tankers were planned as of 2012. The AC-130W is armed with one 30 mm Bushmaster cannon, AGM-176 Griffin missiles, and GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs.

The Company is organized into two divisions:

Deep Development Corp. has most recently launched the XFORCE™ high definition body-worn camera, and continues to focus on law enforcement, military and oil and gas markets – from helping to protect overseas troops flying AC130 Gunships and operating Navy or Coast Guard vessels in extreme environments, to securing potential threats in oil and gas environments. Deep Development’s post-mission analysis software is used to detect, analyze and respond to security threats.  The XFORCE™ high-definition body-worn camera is a lightweight, rugged imaging device that attaches to the officer’s vest.  It records high-definition video, audio, and other meta-data, which allow law enforcement agencies to search for past video by time and date or officer identification.

Gatekeeper® mobile video division gives school bus managers tools to see 360 degrees in and around school buses and ensure the safety of the children they transport. These tools include multiple high-resolution color cameras that enhance safety inside the bus, and the Student Protector™ infrared license plate reading system. The Student Protector records the license plates of potentially deadly stop arm violators and issues tickets or citations for revenue sharing with the school district, county and Company. Gatekeeper’s transit bus surveillance system records up to 16 cameras in high resolution, allowing transit managers to view video live from buses or record evidence from all cameras.
