The new high performance VRS™
by Gatekeeper Systems Inc. allows you to optimize the performance of your school
bus video camera system like never before.
A school bus can be a difficult environment for operating
many types of electronic equipment, including school bus video camera systems,
due to voltage inconsistencies which can cause recording failure, tape ejection
and/or damage to sensitive components within the system. In addition, power line
disturbances caused from un-snubbed solenoids or automatic doors and relays from
lights can compromise audio and video signals produced by school bus camera systems
thus directly affecting overall recording quality. Recognizing a significant need
for improved reliability industry wide, Gatekeeper Systems Inc. has recently developed
a solution that will set a new standard for consistency, durability and overall
performance for school bus video camera systems.
When used in conjunction with The Gatekeeper™ system,
the VRS™ is guaranteed to improve
overall reliability of your school bus video camera systems; The Gatekeeper™
system includes the VRS™ as a standard product feature in addition to other
standard features such as Optex™ - Dome Camera technology.
Each VRS™ is housed in a vandal resistant fire rated
ABS enclosure that is manufactured to Gatekeeper Systems Inc. high standard of
quality. The VRS™ can be purchased as a complete harness assembly or with
flying leads which will allow for quick and user friendly integration with virtually
all school bus video monitoring systems, including The Gatekeeper™ solution,
thus allowing the VRS™ to be installed during initial implementation or added
to any existing installations.
The VRS™ will increase the required operating voltage
range of your school bus video camera systems from 10-14VDC to 7- 22VDC
while providing the VCR recorder with a consistent 12VDC (plus or minus 2.5%)
for optimal operation. The VRS™ will also filter voltage spikes up to 500
volts at 5 milliseconds and utilizes a double-ended fuse design which allows for
fast, reliable identification to trace any potential issues back to the bus electrical
or school bus camera system. The VRS™ has been designed for reverse polarity
protection which will shield the system from improper wiring during installation.
