The IR Illuminator is designed to operate in conjunction with either a black & white or day/night camera. It allows the camera to provide video in low light or even lightless situations such as early morning or late evening bus runs. The powerful illuminator has an effective range that will cover even the longest 84+ passenger buses. The IR illuminator is also equipped with a monitoring system that turns the unit on and off depending on available light.

The IR Illuminator has a rugged weatherproof aluminum housing and tempered glass filter that are capable of withstanding outdoor installations if necessary. It also has an operational temperature range of -10°C to 60°C (14°F - 140°F).

Installation of the IR Illuminator is easy and may be part of a new system integration or an add-on to an existing system. All necessary hardware is included in the kit and the supplied power cable simply plugs into an available jack on the back of the recorder.
